285 Home Inspections will perform a Detailed General Home Inspection which is further defined below. We observe the following existing major home systems, roof, plumbing, electrical, exterior, interior, HVAC, Fireplace, and other items based on the InterNACHI standards of practice (SOP) and it's Code of Ethics. A full copy of these written standards are available upon demand. We are now offering and including at no additional charge a basic thermal imaging scan of the property to further evaluate and confirm areas of concern. We do offer radon testing services, however we do not provide radon mitigation systems. Please be cautious of services that provide both as they may have an agenda in doing so.
A general home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property. Performed for a fee, which is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. The scope of work may be modified by the Client and Inspector prior to the inspection process.
Prior to an inspection to commence, it is required to agree upon what 285 Home Inspection Services, LLC will provide to the potential client. An electronic copy will be sent with specifics of the actual property being inspected. Document will then be signed electronically and inspection can be set up upon receipt.
Please note a deposit for some inspections may be required in advance.
